Multi-material components in hybrid design are the rising stars of body construction. But even newcomers are expected to fulfill the highest standards of safety and reliability, right from day one. Relevant design parameters, such as weight, rigidity, strength, acoustics, vibration and crash characteristics are therefore investigated in detail individually plus in the overall system and then scrutinized closely for cost efficiency.

Numerical models are tailored to the requirements and evaluated using standard software. Topological optimizations and FE analyses are carried out in the Hyperworks environment (OptiStruct, Radioss) and with LS-Dyna. Concepts of the design are implemented in Rhino, Catia or NX.

Estimated costs are closely interlinked with process planning and are updated using feedback from trials and testing. Cooperation with customers results in customized constructions and design-optimized lightweight designs.
